Our Story

Barking up the right tree!!

First of all, I would like to thank you for visiting my site.

My name is Janette and I started making collars as a part-time hobby fuelled from my passion for sewing and creating but was also inspired by my love for our pack of five whippets who you can see in the pictures above.

Initially I put a couple of my collars onto Ebay to see what sort of response I would get and to my delight they sold immediately!!

From there I opened a shop on Etsy and now my collars have sold all over the world!!

The business is evolving all the time from how I make the collars, the materials that I am using and the products that I am producing. I use my Facebook page to try to keep everyone as up to date as possible.

My business has taken off quicker that I ever thought it would and I am grateful to everyone who has helped to make this happen.

Charity Work

I am fortunate to be able to work with a couple of Greyhound Trusts in both Sheffield and Hall’s Green.

The aim of these trusts is to provide loving homes for retired racing greyhounds. In order for these trusts to keep going they rely on donations, fundraising and their hardworking volunteers.

Future Plans

I have already started to expand Precious Pooches Designs by introducing key-rings and tassel attachments for collars. At present there is a limited choice for the key-rings and tassel attachment but these will grow with the business.

Leads and collar sets are another area that I will be branching out into as well as dog coats, however, I am happy for you to contact me in the meantime if you are interested in either of these products.
